Worth the drive from Amherst. We shared the seafood chowder and ploughman's lunch and ended our visit with coffee and the sticky date pudding (with homemade vanilla ice cream).

Personal favorite and arguably the best restaurant in Nova Scotia. Setting, presentation, quality and freshness of the ingredients, skill and creativity of the chef, and knowledgeable and attentive staff, all form an exceptional service. Staying overnight and enjoying a lovely breakfast is a great weekend away from the city. Top marks, and looking forward to my next visit.

Lunch here on June 16, 2017... a terrific "culinary experience" at a very reasonable price. Had a sublime soup and an excellent pasta with putanesca sauce with seafood. Friends had other excellent dishes. Very inventive, simple, delicious. The area's natural beauty as well as the Museum of the Age of Sail make the trip to this out-of-the-way area entirely worthwhile.

This place closes at 8 on Mondays, but I called to say we would be a little tardy for our 7pm reservation - no worries, get here when you can was the response. We were about 10 minutes late (we thought we would be much later) and we were greeted by friendly staff. The food was nothing short of amazing. This exceeded our expectations, and we ate like kings! The scallops were to die for, the seafood chowder - there are no words to describe it. Keep it up, and we will definitely be back!!!

Best seafood chowder of the trip no doubt. Glad we made the trek.
